Dog of the Week!

Marley is our Dog Of The Week this week - a true gentle giant who absolutely loves his humans. Unfortunately, Marley is currently in kennels, and is not happy about it! He really needs a loving family who can help him burn off some of his energy. Because of his size, he is more suited to a family with older children, but he really is a big softy!
Marley is around 2 and a half years old, and is an Alsatian cross. He has lots of energy and loves running around and playing with various toys. He is good with people and other animals. He is getting on with his training, but could still use some more!

Pugsley is a Rottweiler cross with a heart of gold. He is a real gentle giant that gets on well with both animals and humans. He would do well in a family home, although preferably with older children due to his size. He is a lovely dog, but he does like to greet people with a hug, and can knock younger children over.

Reggie is a lovely young Staffie boy who is currently in foster care. He is good with children and other animals, and does have quite a lot of energy! He is a very loving dog, and enjoys his cuddles.

Scooby is a "Jack Russell" who is around the size of a Great Dane! He's a lovely boy with a great big heart, really good with other animals and people, and loves his cuddles!

Meg is a pointer, approximately 2 years old. She would suit an active home with children who would be willing to keep playing with her until they dropped! She is very friendly and good with children and other animals, but she would benefit with some one-to-one time with an owner to help her train away some slightly bad habits. Meg is very intelligent and loving.

Goldie is a 2 year old boy, and he is quite quiet. He would suit a home with no other pets (especially cats, as he is a chaser!) with owners who could give him the love that he so desperately deserves.

Chad is a beautiful 7 month old Shepod (German shepard/Podenco cross) who is very boisterous and has an amazingly quick mind. He would suit an owner with no other pets, preferably one that can keep him occupied and let his natural intelligence work.

Sparky is a beautiful brindle Staffordshire Bull Terrier with a lovely nature, who was sadly abandoned by his owner when they left to go to university. He is good with other dogs and humans, and is very loving around children. He would suit a family that can keep his quick mind occupied!

Balie is a 7 month old Shepod (German Shepard/Podenco cross) who will be quite large once grown. She would suit a home with another dog, but unfortunately no cats as she is a chaser! She gets on very well with children, and would suit a family home where she can be kept active and work on her training.

Maya was rescued from horrific conditions after being set on fire. This terrible abuse has led to several operations on her front legs, and has unfortunately left her with a somewhat deformed front paw, which thankfully doesn't stop her from getting the most out of life! She is a beautiful, 2 year old girl who is slowly coming out of her shell, and would suit a home with another dog or two to keep her company. Despite her injuries, she is still very active and loves walks and playtime!

Marley is a beautiful big boy! He is around 2 and a half years old, and he has absolutely bags of energy. He is an Alsatian cross who doesn't seem to know his own strength sometimes, but is as gentle as a dove. He would suit an active family that can keep up with his training, but preferably with older children, as sometimes his enthusiasm gets the better of him!
Next steps:
Once you have been matched with a dog, the first thing to do is get in contact with us! See our Contact us page for details of how to get in touch.
We will ask you to complete our pre-adoption form.
Once we receive your form, we will discuss your first meeting with your potential new companion!
In the unlikely event we feel that the dog you have chosen is unsuitable for your circumstances, we will make every effort to suggest a more suitable dog.
Your first face-to-face meeting will most likely take place at the home of the dog's current fosterer.
Once you have met your choice, we will conduct a home visit to ensure the living area for the dog is suitable.
Before your new companion comes to live with you, we will ensure he or she is fully up to date with jabs. We will discuss neutering and microchipping if it has not already been done.
A £150 adoption fee (to help cover vets' fees and food) does apply, as do our Terms and Conditions.
